Leasing Space
Interested in leasing space at the Sweet Auburn Curb Market? Read on to find out more about what type of businesses we're looking for and about the leasing process.
The goal of the Municipal Market Company, the organization that manages the Curb Market, is to create a public marketplace for food and goods that serves the needs of area residents, Downtown workers, and city visitors. (Learn more about the market's history.)
The Curb Market is much more than a building; it is a culturally diverse destination that offers many types of foods and goods that can't be easily found elsewhere in Atlanta. It is both historically significant and commercially important with more than thousands of people coming through its doors each week.
What The Market Is Looking For
We seek to attract a mix of businesses. We seek businesses that are:
- well thought-out and planned;
- financially responsible;
- knowledgeable about their business;
- innovative;
- authentic;
- committed to the success of both their own business and the success of Curb Market as a destination.
Right now the market is home to two dozen different businesses. We would like to grow, however, and there are several types of businesses we'd like to see move in.
Specific types of businesses we feel would do well in the market:
- organic produce and/or meat;
- bread shop;
- cheese shop;
- Hispanic food (grocery or restaurant);
- kitchen supplies;
- magazine stand or shop.
